A few things I've learned... Being a Mom is one of the toughest jobs I've ever had. Even over the nasty job of cleaning the dorm room bathrooms in college, directing a summer camp for about 75 kids, and even working for an after school program with some pretty challenging kids! Though difficult at times, no reward is greater than that of being a Mom. I've also learned through being a Mom, that just when you think a routine is down pat, your child will decide that it's time for change when you least expect it. You might even think about the next few steps your going to take as a parent and as a family as a whole. The biggest thing I've learned about being a Mom is that I am not always in control and that in itself takes some adjusting. So the first thing I am posting is a video of one night last week while Chris and I were going through our recycling stuff and taking the trash out. Chris found something in the garage that he thought at first was a bat...it wasn't. It's kind of long, but you have to watch the whole thing to see what happens. Note: Chris doesn't like many bugs. In the month of August, we kept pretty busy. We had some sort of an event in Indianapolis every, single, weekend in August. It was crazy busy, but were glad to have made it to everything that was planned on the calendar:) August brought us a new school year for Landon at his new preschool. Still trying to figure out if it's the place for him. In most areas it is very relaxed and in others, they are a bit uptight. It's still the beginning of the year, so we shall see. Landon likes it and has willingly gone into the school everyday but one. That is much better than last year where he was literally glued to me as soon as we stepped in the door! He has matured over the summer but is still adjusting to the LONG preschool day. He is at school from 8:30-4:00 which makes for the longest day he has spent at preschool. This includes an hour and 45 minutes "nap/rest" time which Landon insists on NOT taking a nap. This in turn creates a monster of my Landon for the next few days ...
