Our weekend...
Boy, did we have a busy weekend. The drive to Indy is really starting to wear on me. I am just really uncomfortable in the car and it's just getting a bit harder. We've decided that we are going to try and plan things more in a combination of the weekend rather than having to drive to Indy three weekends in a row. So...this weekend was Jam packed. On Friday, Chris and I went on what will probably be the last date night until the baby gets here. We went to see The Lion King on Broadway at the Murat in downtown Indy. We had a great time. We stopped and got our favorite breadsticks that we can't find anywhere else that really meets our tastebud's satisfaction...Noble Romans on west tenth street by my mom's house. We stuffed our faces and then went to the show. It was really, really good. The costumes were amazing and it was just nice to get out the two of us and enjoy some down time. The show was great, the music was great and the costumes were great. As for Landon, I am pleasd to say, stayed with Grandpa Dusty while we went to the show. They played with pretend dishes, played with a train set, Landon helped Dusty fix dinner, Landon found the sprayer on the kitchen sink and soaked Dusty. Landon swept the kitchen floor with the dust buster...his favorite thing ever. They even explored the upstairs with the lights off and flashlights on...another favorite of Landon's...flashlights, until he's so deep in the dark that he is ready to exit and the expense of being carried back out of the dark. The Lion King started at 8:oo pm and we got back to my mom's around 11:00pm. Landon is usually in bed around 7:00, so, needless to say, he was asleep on Dusty's lap when we picked him up...all tuckered out from all the exploring and playing he and grandpa Dusty did. Thank you Dusty for watching him so we could have a night out. Saturday, we went to our nephew Mason's basketball game. He did an AMAZING job and is really learning about teamwork and even scored the first basket of the game and for his team. I just wish we could make it to more of his games. Soon enough: wink, wink. After the basketball game, we went to my dear friend Emily's daughter's first birthday party. Sweet little Ella was precious and got lot's of nice thing and Landon had a great time playing with her big brother Ethan and his cousin's. After the birthday party, we went to Christmas at the Zoo with my mom and grandpa dusty. It was REALLY cold and VERy busy, but it was so nice to see how much more into everything Landon was this year than last. He talked about it all the way home. His favorite part of the evening was a toss up between riding the train and seeing a horse step in poop. Go figure, the two are about as opposite in interest as they come, but leave it to Landon to when you ask, "What did you see at the zoo?" the answer you get is "horse step in poop". We just laugh and agree, but look for something a little more appropriate as a "favorite". This morning, we drove back to Fort Wayne to do the pleasant task of waiting the five hour window for Comcast to show up and fix our phone that hasn't worked in months. Then later, we have small group with our church group and hope to go to bed early. I had my thirty week appointment on Tuesday and I am still measuring two weeks small, but she said she is pleased with where I am at and thinks everything looks good. I am sure I will be posting a few times in the next week or so because we have some big changes going on in our life right now and I will keep you all posted. Hope this find everyone enjoying their Sunday afternoon. Enjoy!
