Our Weekend

Image
Saturday we spent the day first, at The Children's Museum with Jessica and Sabrina. We said our goodbyes and then went to park at the Zoo and eat lunch on the Canal. We decided that all the kids were doing so great, that we went ahead and walked through the Zoo for a bit. It was SO busy, we only managed to see the new baby elephant and a quick walk through the gift shop. The kids were exhausted! This morning we decided since it was so beautiful out, we would drive into Brown County and do a small hike. Back when Landon was a baby, we were given a wearable back pack that dates back to my sister Conner, who just graduated high school. We have used it from Landon through now Quin. Quiny sure loved it and was just singing and talking the entire hike. It was so refreshing and such a nice little family outing. Landon is only allowed to play the WII on the weekends and last weekend, he had someone following him very closely in his actions as he played his monster truck game.

Pre-K

I couln't leave Alexa out of the blog as she endeavored on her second year of Pre-K! I'm sure she would deny it if asked, but she just adores Landon and thinks the world of him. She wants to be five like him, she doesn't want to go to MOPS without him, she can't sleep if he's not in the same room with her, and she for sure wants to be in Kindergarten like him. The night before Landon went to Kindergarten, he and I had a "moment" after reading the book. Let me first start by saying, Chris had been gone all weekend, got home Sunday for a bit and then left again Monday for a couple days. It was an emotional roller coaster for us all, so we were a bit on the verge of tears as it was. I close the book we had just read, and Landon straddled my lap facing me and we hugged. I started crying and telling him how proud of him daddy and I are and that we are so excited for him to be in Kindergarten. Landon is very in tune with feelings and emotions and it never fails,

Kindergarten

Today marks a first for our family. With three children, fourteen years together and married 8, there have been MANY firsts. Sometimes they can be emotional, heartbreaking, thrilling, life changing, and sometimes they can be very exciting! This morning was a very exciting first as Landon went off for his first day of Kindergarten marking the entrance into many fun filled years of learning, (at least I pray it's that smooth). I have prayed and feared for this day as Landon struggles with anxiety and has for a long time. But, there is something that I have learned for the past few months and that is the very fact that he is growing and changing and maturing before my eyes. I have caught myself in moments lately where I see a little man. He's not interested in the things he was before but is excited for new more "grown up" things. Those are the moments that I truly embrace and cherish. Those moments when time almost stops. In this crazy and busy life, I think sometimes ma

This weekend was really good and it's not even over yet! My brother's little girl Keagan, had her second birthday party today, so I decided to head to Indy a bit early with the kids and take a trip to the zoo. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and it wasn't too crowded. I have no pictures from the birthday party, but HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY KEAGAN! The kids had a blast together driving a couple of power wheels around the yard. All I have to say is, I am praying for Alexa when she gets her drivers license...wait, let me rephrase that. I am praying for the for everyone else who uses a car as mode of transportation...when Alexa gets her drivers license. The girl has no chance. She will drive a beater Fo Sho! Here are the pictures from the Zoo. We had more bike riding this week with some cooler days Last but not least, I would like to recognize the life of this amazing woman who I cherish still 'til this day, Ms. June Mobley. Can not believe it

One of Landon's front teeth FINALLY came out. After being loose for over a month and barely hanging on, it fell out! This is now his 3rd tooth to loose. He's getting so big! On Tuesday's, all three kids are home together and they usually play pretty well. This particular day, Landon was giving Alexa a "makeover" because she "is getting married". I have no idea why or how he knows what a makeover is...but it was very sweet and he was very patient with her. One of Landon's favorite things to do with Alexa when she was Quin's age, was to pull her around in the red wagon by his John Deer Tractor. He has now been doing the same with Quiny. Quin laughed up and down the court. We have a Cozy Coupe car that my mom got Landon when he was about a year old that we had in Fort Wayne. Alexa used it and now Quin is enjoying playing in it. I brought it inside today when he and I were home alone and he played in it for hours! Last, but not least,
