Thomas the Train and swimming fun!
Long time, no blog. My sister conner came to stay with us and visit for a little over a week and a half and we had a great time! Landon has taken a while to warm-up, but a visit to the zoo seemed to help quite a bit. Over the weekend, we went to see Thomas the Train in Connersville, IN. They put together this old train from the
1930's and placed a Thomas the Train engine look-a-like on one of the ends of the train. It was so much fun and so cute. We even got to take a school bus to the train ride and I think Landon was just as tickled to ride the school bus as he was the train. Landon was a bit overwhelmed, but had a great time and even left with a few goodies. We've also spent quite a bit of time at our neighborhood pool and Landon is such a little fish. It's always hard to get him to leave when it's time because he doesn't want to stop. We make him wear a vest and he has just realized that he can swim pretty well on his own. However, he wants to swim on his own also, when he is not wearing the vest and he is just not ready for that yet. I am also putting up some videos of Landon. He is too funny. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Sorry this is so short. I'll post some stories soon. Landon is on his second ear infection in two weeks and is pretty miserable.
Alexa never stops amazing me. If you can picture it, she is crawling without her arms. She sort of scoots her knees into her chest and face plants, then lifts her head up and relaxes her knees. (i will have to get it on video) Needless to say, I already can't leave her unattended on a blanket in the middle of the floor because when I come back, she is NO WHERE near where I left her. I'm not ready for her to be mobile yet. I need for her to at least sit up first. She is one determined little lady in more ways than one. She has been sleeping in her own bed and doing a pretty good job of falling asleep on her own most nights. She is so precious and smiles so much that when I am having a bad day, I just talk to Miss Alexa and she does the job:) Such a sweetie and she LOVEs, LOVEs, LOVEs her brother and thinks he's a pretty funny guy.
