Fun with Pop Rocks, Rain and Baseball

There is a candy shop here in the Bloomington Mall that Landon loves to go in. He finally convinced me that we needed to get something. What better thing to have him try than Pop Rocks? That strange candy that is sweet and fizzles in your mouth. We had a good time laughing at the kids and their reactions, hope you do too.

We have had such a HOT summer and it's so bad, we don't even want to go outside. Alexa sweats more than any baby I knew could sweat. We were outside for ten minutes doing sidewalk chalk and she had sweat dripping down her face! We went to the park and she was so sweaty, she had sand sticking to every part of her body. There has also been alot of rain, but nothing that takes the humidity away. We had a down fall of rain one day that only lasted about ten mintues. What better way to cool off than to play in the rain and they had a great time...mostly Alexa.

Landon has been practicing his t-ball skills and while my Dad was in town, Landon practiced with him and Chris a few times. Landon wanted to NOT use the T to hit the ball from but wanted the ball to be pitched to him. To our surprise, he did pretty well.

And here are a couple random pictures of Alexa. She keeps wanting to wear Landon's sunglasses (that he wears on a regular basis) so I decided to buy her a pair (hesitant because I didn't think she would wear them). She looks so old in her Barbie sunglasses.

We went to visit family in Indy and on the way back home, it was about 95 degree and Alexa insisted that every single window in the car, including the sunroof, be open.

Just thought this was a sweet picture.

Thanks for sharing. Those pictures and videos are great. I love them playing in the rain. That's being a kid at its best. Looking forward to seeing you and the kids more once MOPS starts. Hope you're having a great summer.
