Chris and I aren't the best at taking time for ourselves. In fact, before this weekend, the last time we spent the night away from the kids together, was when I was in the hospital getting ready to have Alexa. And before that, I couldn't tell ya. I get so jealous of so many friends who take the time and get away with each other. Part of our problem is finding someone to watch the kids and to be honest, the other part is trusting that my kids will be just fine without me for one night. So, Chris and I took one night this weekend for ourselves to celebrate our anniversary. It was much needed and much enjoyed. We spent Saturday shopping at Circle Center and I cleaned out Eddie Bauer since they were having an 80% off sale!!!!! I had debated on getting chocolate at the Gediva store they have there. We then went back to the Hotel to take a nap...of course when I have the opportunity to take a nap, I couldn't. Chris on the other hand had no problem sawing logs. We ate dinner at Fogo De Chao downtown Indy and it was SO YUMMY! If you've never been, you need to go! They even brought us a yummy desert that said Happy 6th Anniversary. After dinner, it was back to the mall before they closed so I could get the chocolate that I wished I had gotten earlier. Thank you Christopher for a great night celebrating us and our relationship. I love you:)

We all have a story. It belongs to only us and no one else. This is a new chapter in Alexa's story. This is her being fitted for the brace. Not sure how I feel about this brace quite yet. Right now, Alexa hates it. And...I hate it for Alexa. She is struggling and it takes everything in me to try and stay positive for her. But I will do anything to push her because I know deep down she is one of the toughest girls out there. There are 3 stages: Stage 1: Alexa is required to wear the brace for 6 hours per day for two weeks. We are to take it off every 2 hours to check for any sores of rubbing on her skin. Who is Alexa? If you know her, you know she can either be very shy or really silly. You don't know what you're going to get but it's always great. She writes the most encouraging notes just when you need them and her hugs, when I get them, are pretty damn amazing. Alexa has always been a Daddy's girl no doubt. I knew deep down that one day she would need me. Of course she would always need me in some way because let's face it, the girl is a picky eater and if I didn't make her lunch she might starve. See? She needs me! But on a deeper level, Alexa and I have always struggled to really see eye to eye. One more makes a family of four!

That's right. Chris and I found out a few weeks ago that we are expecting our second little one around mid February. We are very excited! There are still a few of you out there that I wish I could tell other than on our blogspot, but this is the best way for me right now. I have been feeling REALLY crummy and I just can't kick the all day morning sickness. I just wish there was something that I could eat or take and it would give me a break. I know it will be worth it, but it's much more difficult being sick and watching after a toddler. Thank goodness I have the most amazing husband in the world that has really taken on both roles as mom and dad and give me a break when I need one. We couldn't be happier with idea of having two. We are really pushing these milestones and Landon is taking them VERY well! Now, if ice cream cured morning sickness...I would be in good shape (well, not physically and then again maybe that's why it doesn't help). Hope you all enjoyed...
