Summer fun
In the month of August, we kept pretty busy. We had some sort of an event in Indianapolis every, single, weekend in August. It was crazy busy, but were glad to have made it to everything that was planned on the calendar:) August brought us a new school year for Landon at his new preschool. Still trying to figure out if it's the place for him. In most areas it is very relaxed and in others, they are a bit uptight. It's still the beginning of the year, so we shall see. Landon likes it and has willingly gone into the school everyday but one. That is much better than last year where he was literally glued to me as soon as we stepped in the door! He has matured over the summer but is still adjusting to the LONG preschool day. He is at school from 8:30-4:00 which makes for the longest day he has spent at preschool. This includes an hour and 45 minutes "nap/rest" time which Landon insists on NOT taking a nap. This in turn creates a monster of my Landon for the next few days following preschool because he is so exhausted! August brought us a new niece/cousin into the world, miss Keagan Abigael Welty born to my brother Jason and his wife Sarah and big sister Isabelle.
With Keagan arriving, we were able to have Isabelle visit with us overnight. This was quite a big deal to Landon because it was like having a friend over for a sleepover. They had a great time. Here are the pictures from her visit:
To end the month of August, we enjoyed a nice baseball game. For the past two years, we have gone with a very close family of ours, the Nixon/McGee family to an Indianapolis Indians game. We always have a great time eating hotdogs, nachos, beer and lots of laughs! This year, Alexa was all over the place and had an explosive diaper at the beginning of the game. Who did I bring extra clothes for? Landon, you know, in case he threw up. Not Alexa, the one in diapers who might poop out of her diaper and all over her clothes! She has done that twice in her life so far and the second time was at this very baseball game. Needless to say, she wore Landon's extra clothes for the rest of the three hour+ game. She still looked pretty cute:) Here are the pictures from that night:
