picking, packing and a check-up

random title? I understand. Let's start with the first of the title. Landon, being a boy I assume, has a really hard time keeping his fingers out of his nose. Everytime we turn around, he has a finger in his nose just picking away. We have really been working on, when we have something in our nose, we go and get a kleenex or some toilet paper or ask for a napkin...you get the point. The other day, once again, Landon had his finger in his nose. He walks over to me and says, "mommy, yook, big booger". I told him that he needed to go into the bathroom and get a small piece of toilet paper and wipe off his finger. He came back into the room, his finger clean. He then goes on to tell Chris and I in a motion with his hands that he, with both hands, unrolled the toilet paper roll. Chris went into the bathroom and couldn't find anything. Later, Chris went into the bathroom and happened to glance down into the trach can...BINGO. He called Landon inot the bathroom and told him to bring me something to show me. This is what he found:

needless to say...we now will be working on not picking our nose as well as what a "small piece" of toilet paper looks like:)

We had Alexa's two week check-up this morning bright and early at 8:00. Everything looks great! Her weight is up to 6 pounds 5 ounces. Funny thing though, is somewhere in the last two weeks, she shrunk an inch. Just goes to show that different people measuring a squirmy infant with legs that are constantly in the shape of a frogs, is hard to measure in length. When she was born, they measured her 20.5 inches in length and today she measured 19.5 inches. I have a feeling today's length was the accurate of the two because in the hospital, they used a small piece of measuring tape and today they used a wooden block sort of thing. Anywho...she checked out great!

Now on to moving...we are doing just that on Friday. We are keeping about half of the our stuff actually in the house so that it's not too bare for when we show it. We had an open house on Sunday and only had a whopping three people come through. Bummer. We have been spending nearly every minute we can packing since we are doing it all by ourselves with two kids. It's been real fun, let me tell ya. We drove down to Indy twice this week to take things and have the gas turned on in the house we are moving to, which was an adventure in itself. We drove two hours to have it turned on for the time window of 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. When we showed up to the house, the gas man had been there at 3:50 pm and we were told they would come again tomorrow. We eventually got it all worked out and we have heat in the house. Chris was going to paint, but then realized that he hates to paint, so we hired someone to do it and it will be done by tonight hopefully. The movers will be here 8:30 on Friday and we will no longer be living in boring Fort Wayne and I am SO looking forward to not having to make the horrible drive on 69 much more until we sell the house:) Alright... this is the world's longest blog and I apologize. I needed to catch up since we've been so busy. Packing, moving, need to buy a car, Chris starts working on Bloomington a week from yesterday, Alexa is coming out of her shell and has been a bit more fussy, we are trying to sell the house and Landon...well, he's just two. That's all there is to say. We are going through so many changes and I know we will manage, it's just really stressful. One day at a time! Enjoy the pictures. We love you all very much.
